SEE JANE GIVE


Jane Gave BIG! Wednesday, April 30 2008, the graduating class of SOAR in Cincinnati announced the results of the See Jane Give philanthropic initiative benefiting Cincinnati's Dress for Success chapter at their annual Beyond the Suit breakfast. The class was able to grow initial seed money given by Toyota to $16,393! In addition over 2500 clothing items were collected. Congratulations to the class and their outstanding accomplishment that will benefit many women in the Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati community. SOAR


Purpose: SOAR is a Peer Exchange Network program designed to provide women identified as high potential leaders in their organizations with a powerful peer-to-peer leadership learning opportunity. These women have typically been working for 5-13 years.

Scope: The program is now opening in cities across the midwest and southeast. Twenty additional cities are slated to start programs in 2008. Currently, programs are located in Cincinnati, Memphis, Nashville, Evansville, Huntsville, Lexington, Louisville, Columbus and Indianapolis.

Curriculum: A humanities-based leadership curriculum with application to the workplace is featured utilizing six learning methodologies at each meeting: 1) Classic Cases, 2) Contemporary Leadership Profiles, 3) Film Studies, 4) Hands-On Initiatives, 5) Peer-to-Peer Analysis and 6) Useful Leadership Tools.

Duration: The program kicks-off with a one day session followed every other month with four hour sessions for eighteen months (9 meetings total).
